Public supports space travel … According to a new survey, Americans still support space exploration, with 67% backing a return to the Moon and 65% in favor of a mission to Mars. Younger people are a bit more excited about the idea of zipping around in space -- and the enthusiasm for space travel goes back in time as well. When asked if they believed the 1969 moon landing was worth the effort, 77% of respondents said it was -- with only 23% saying it did not seem like it was worth the trip.
