Seems sex is not a priority for many Americans these days. A new survey found that 24% of respondents said they want a break from sex, and 52% have already taken an extended break from it â lasting 6 months on average.
Other survey findings:
â˘30% believe romance is dead.
â˘69% of singles are happy being single and arenât actively looking for a relationship. Just 21% say they are actively looking for a romantic partner.
â˘55% said they would rather fall in love with life than with another person.
â˘59% of singles said a relationship is not something they need right now.
â˘Those surveyed see intimacy as just 37% about sex and 57% about emotional connection.
â˘76% said they express intimacy in non-sexual ways.
â˘53% said a sex break helped them better appreciate physical intimacy. Only 11% felt it had a negative impact.
â˘47% said romantic relationships focus too much on the future rather than living in the moment.
â˘Â     49% said past relationships had been âruinedâ by societal pressure.
