Dog-gone good life … You don’t have to tell dog lovers this, but a new study finds that having a dog says a lot about your personality. And, spoiler alert, it’s all pretty great. Researchers from the University of Kent found that dog owners are more outgoing, agreeable, and less prone to stress. But the perks don’t stop there: Whether you have a dog or a cat, having a furry friend significantly boosts your overall happiness and well-being – on par with the joy you get from close family and friends. And that joy is valuable. Researchers say having a pet is worth up to $95,000 a year in life satisfaction.
