It used to be that the American Dream was a well-paying job and owning a house – maybe even with a white picket fence. But these days, the concept has changed. A survey by Go Daddy found that while being your own boss and owning a home were still important, they were less important than being happy and following your dreams. According to respondents, these are the things that indicate you have achieved the “American Dream”:
1. Living comfortably – 56%
2. Feeling happy in life – 54%
3. Freedom to follow my passion – 49%
4. Owning a home – 45%
5. Being my own boss – 39%
