George Clooney has switched up his appearance in a major way and there is one person who is overjoyed for the change, his wife Amal Clooney.
Earlier this year, the Ocean's Eleven star dyed his hair black for his Tony Award-nominated Broadway debut starring as broadcast journalist Edward R. Murrow in Good Night, and Good Luck, a noticeable change for the actor known for being a silver fox. Now that his run is over, so too has his darker look come to an end.
Clooney showed off the return of his gray hair on the red carpet of the Tonys on Sunday (June 8) where he spoke to Entertainment Weekly and People about his wife's reaction to his new (old) look.
"Oh man, my wife was the happiest person when I came home after the play today and I'd cut all the hair off," he said. Because, you know, I looked like a drug dealer with that bad black dye job."
The ER actor, 64, previously admitted that his wife thought his dark locks were "funny" and would "be glad when it's gone." Even Clooney agreed that the dyed hair made it seem like he was going through a "horrible midlife crisis."
George and Amal have been married since 2014 and share 7-year-old twins Alexander and Ella.
