Social media is all about balance

Social media is all about balance … We’ve all seen the studies showing the negative effects of too much social media. But a new study from the University of British Columbia reveals that it's not just about how long you scroll, but how you use social media that really matters. Mindful engagement – like unfollowing those negative accounts and focusing on real interactions – can help reduce FOMO and loneliness. On the flip side, quitting social media entirely can lower anxiety and depression, but might make you feel a bit lonely. Basically, it’s about a more balanced approach – a mix of limiting screen time and making sure when you do use social media, it’s a more positive experience.
