Americans need their frozen treats, especially heading into the summer, and 82% of people polled say that ice cream is the best dessert. 68% said they always have some variety of ice cream in the freezer "at all times." Ice cream parlors are the most popular places to buy ice cream, followed by supermarkets and ice cream trucks -- which have become increasingly more popular over the years. In fact, half of Americans expect to let their kids buy something from an ice cream truck this summer.
