An ATM machine at Art Basel (an international art show) in Miami Beach is getting a lot of attention for combining banking with arcade gaming. This unique machine lets customers withdraw money like a regular ATM, only this one has a large leaderboard screen attached to it displaying the top account balances among customers -- much like a list of top scores on a classic arcade game. Each time a customer inserts their bank card, their photo is taken and then displayed on the screen next to their balance, letting everyone around them know how much money they have and where they rank compared to everyone else. While some more affluent users have had fun showing off their wealth and seeing how they compare to others, most people have understandable shied away from it.
