A company called Space Perspective is developing a giant balloon that will -- supposedly -- take tourists into space in style. The balloon is attached to a “Space Lounge,” complete with giant windows, Wi-Fi and a drinks bar.
If all goes according to plan, they’ll start launching from Kennedy Space Center in Florida in 2024, allowing tourists to hover at an altitude of 20 miles above the surface of Earth -- for the low, low price of $125,000.
Passengers won't experience feelings of weightlessness, but they will get to see the curvature of the planet from up there.
