You can't take it with you … No one is going to be around forever, so the only way to ensure that your property, pets, and money are distributed according to your wishes is to have a will. According to a new survey, about half of Americans have a will and the same number believe they are included in a loved one’s will and will eventually receive an inheritance. Of those, 44% say they'd prefer to inherit something of value, compared to 27% who'd prefer something sentimental. Here are some other interesting findings:
· 65% hope to inherit a house or property.
· 59% wish to inherit their loved-one's pet.
· 58% said they'd like to inherit money.
· 40% said they would be jealous if another family member received a larger inheritance.
· 47% of people said they'd rather leave money for their kids and grandkids rather than spend it all while they're alive. 30% said they'd rather enjoy their money while they can.
