Apple Just Unveiled The AirTag To Help You Find Lost Items!

Apple held its annual event yesterday where they unveiled the new AirTag to help us find everything we lose. The AirTag will help users find lost items through Apple’s “Find My” app. The AirTags are small and round tracking devices that can be attached everything like purses, bags or keys. The tags come with various case options and keychain dongles so you can attach it to your bag or keys. You can also customize the AirTag with emoji symbols. The Find My app will be able to guide guide users to a lost AirTag using a combination of sound, haptics and visual feedback. A built in speaker will play sounds to help you locate your lost item and if it's farther away, you can put it on “Lost Mode” which will leverage Apple’s Find My network across everyone’s devices. To ensure privacy, AirTags’ location data and location history is physically stored inside the device. If you come across someone else's lost AirTag, you can tap it with your iPhone and it will take you to a website where you can contact the owner by phone. The item is also water- and dust-resistant. The AirTag uses Bluetooth LE (low-energy) and is able to get a year of battery life. Once the battery dies, you can just replace the battery.

You can pre-order the AirTag starting at 5am PT on Friday before it's officially released on April 30th. The AirTag is $29 for one or a pack of four for $99.
