Americans don't just like cheese — more than half say they're flat-out obsessed with it. A Talker Research survey of 5,000 Americans found 52% describe themselves as "cheese-obsessed," while 16% say cheese is a constant part of their daily routine. Only 3% say they never eat it. And apparently there aren't many foods we won't put cheese on. Respondents reported adding it to everything from ramen to apple pie and even oatmeal. Cheddar is America's favorite, followed by mozzarella and Parmesan. Younger adults appear to have the biggest cheese habit, with 61% of Gen Z and 57% of Millennials calling themselves cheese-obsessed, compared with 44% of Baby Boomers. Taste is the biggest reason people reach for it, but comfort, convenience and protein also rank high. Source
