Wendy Williams' Estranged Husband Officially Out As Producer Of Her Show

Wendy Williams' estranged husband, Kevin Hunter, is no longer an executive producer on the Wendy Williams Show.

A spokesperson for the talk show told Page Six on Thursday (April 18), "Kevin Hunter [who had been a part of the show since its launch in 2008] is no longer an Executive Producer on the Wendy Williams Show," said the rep in a statement. "Debmar-Mercury [the company who produces the talk show] wishes him well in his future endeavors."

Prior to his departure, Wendy reportedly hired extra security on-set to ensure her safety while she and Kevin worked out an agreement for his departure from the show. As fans know, Kevin's ousting comes amid his and Wendy's divorce.

The 54-year-old talk show host filed for divorce just last week — a decision that was reportedly sparked by Kevin's alleged longtime mistress having his child last month.

Kevin issued Wendy an apology for his alleged infidelity, breaking his silence on their divorce, on Tuesday (April 16). "28 years ago I met an amazing woman: Wendy Williams. At the time, I didn't realize that she would not only become my wife, but would also change the face of entertainment and the world," the statement began. "I have dedicated most of our lives to the business empire that is Wendy Williams Hunter, a person that I truly love and respect unconditionally."

Seemingly addressing reports that his alleged longtime-mistress gave birth to his child last month, Kevin continued, "I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family and her amazing fans. I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs."

"No matter what the outcome is or what the future holds, we are still The Hunter Family and I will continue to work with and fully support my wife in this business and through any and all obstacles she may face living her new life of sobriety, while I also work on mine. I ask that you please give me and my family privacy as we heal. Thank you," the statement concluded.

In the days since her divorce filing, Wendy has talked of her plans of a "new life" with her son, rekindling old friendships, and focusing on her sobriety.
