Former KG95 Air Personality, Mark Hahn, Remembered...

In Memoriam: Mark Hahn

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of former on-air personality Mark Hahn, who passed away this past week.

Mark began his broadcasting career in Sioux City in 1981 at KWSL before becoming our beloved morning host with the launch of KG95 in 1983. Over the course of more than 25 years, Mark made an indelible impact on KG95, its listeners, clients, and his colleagues. His voice, dedication, and warmth became a defining part of the station's identity and legacy.

To honor his memory, we have assembled a special tribute piece that captures just a glimpse of the many contributions Mark made during his time with us. His passion for radio and connection with the community will not be forgotten.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Denise, and his sons during this difficult time. Mark will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 18, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Meyers Brothers Colonial Chapel, located at Hamilton Boulevard and Stone Park Boulevard in Sioux City.

From 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., family, friends, and colleagues are invited to share their memories and reflections in celebration of Mark’s life.
