Taking TikTok's "Exploding Egg Challenge" is not egg-zactly the smartest thing you could do, according to experts who warn of possible serious injuries.
People who are taking the challenge spend 10 minutes boiling an egg to hard-boiled state before cooling it and popping it into the microwave for a minute. The final step is to try to cut it with a metal knife -- which usually results in the egg exploding into tiny bits.
That may sound cool, and look cool from a distance, but people attempting it have ended up in the emergency room with cuts, burns or serious injuries to eyes from shell shrapnel. So, think twice before egging yourself on to this dopey challenge.
