Joey Chestnut won Nathan's annual hot dog eating contest for the 16th time. This time he ate 62 franks in 10 minutes. Last year, Joey ate 63 wieners. He set the record two years ago with 76.
On the women's side, defending champion Miki Sudo won with 39.5 hot dogs devoured.
The contest, which takes place in Coney Island, was almost canceled because of a thunderstorm, but organizers waited it out and went ahead with the competition.
