Pet owners can usually tell whether their dog or cat is smart, but most will agree that their fur babies get smarter as they get older. According to a poll conducted by pet food company Stella & Chewy’s, 71% of pet owners believe that their dog or cat has gotten smarter as they’ve aged. 72% say their pets have gotten better at interacting with other pets and humans, and 56% have noticed that they're better at learning new commands or tricks. 87% believe that you can teach an old dog new tricks.
