Calling all pizza lovers: the largest pizza event in the U.S. is coming to Atlanta.
The Atlanta Pizza Festival is slated for October 2 at Atlantic Station’s Pinnacle Lot. Here’s what to know about the fest that’s dedicated to the beloved crowd-pleasing food, according to Atlantic Station:
“The nation’s best pizza event is finally making its way to Atlanta! This family-friendly festival takes pizza lovers on a delicious journey by showcasing several different pizzerias. Each pizzeria will cook on-site in beautiful hand-crafted Neapolitan style ovens made by Marra Forni. Expect live music, ample beer & wine, and pizza, of course!”
Pizza lovers can get a general admission ticket for $15, or upgrade to a “V.I.Pizza” attendee for $35. The event kicks off at noon for “V.I.Pizza” members and 1 p.m. for general admission ticket holders. In addition to the earlier start time, “V.I.Pizza” members will get a gift and unlimited pizza samples until 1 p.m., according to organizers. Tickets are available online via the Atlanta Pizza Festival.
“After experiencing the thriving and diverse community that make up the city of Atlanta, we knew we wanted to bring an event that would engage anyone and everyone,” said Giancarlo Natale, co-director of the Atlanta Pizza Festival, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “Our goal is to bring the Atlanta community a fully immersive experience through delicious pizza, local entertainment and interactive activities.”
