Bonehead Of The Day:

A California woman who accidentally donated a shirt concealing her husband's secret stash of $8,000 cash to Goodwill said recovering the money was "a miracle."Bob Hoffman, 65, of Placentia, said he had been saving up the money in secret for years to take his wife, Linda, 68, on her dream vacation to Italy. "My plan was to save $10,000," Hoffman told the Orange County Register. "Then one day I was going to walk up to her and say, 'We don't have to wish anymore.'"He said he decided to put the vacation plans on hold recently when a relative fell on hard times and was about to be evicted with their children, so he took the money out of the bank and planned to present it to the relative. Hoffman discovered he had made a mistake, however, when he discovered the shirt where he had hidden the envelope was missing -- donated to Goodwill by Linda.Hoffman told Linda the whole story and the pair rushed to Goodwill, where employees helped them locate some of Bob's shirts, but not the one containing the cash. The couple received a call the next morning from Goodwill, where an employee named Caitlin Mulvihill had found the shirt, and the envelope, in a pile of clothes.Bob Hoffman said he recently learned his relative no longer needs the money, so the vacation fund will go back to its original purpose: Taking his relieved wife to Italy.Link: http://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2017/02/15/Wife-accidentally-donates-husbands-secret-

Teen Gets Into VIP Concert Section By Changing Band's Wikipedia Page

If nothing else, Adam Boyd is very, very crafty. The British teenager went to see the band The Sherlocks but got their late and was left with a bad view. So, in case you missed it, he decided to edit The Sherlocks' Wikipedia page to make himself a cousin of the lead singer. "In my drunken state I edited the band's Wikipedia page to say I was family, and it worked!" Boyd wrote on Facebook after his stunt worked. "I got into the roped off VIP area because of it."The band heard the story and shared a link on their Twitter with the caption "fair play mate, good effort."

Today is Do a Grouch a Favor Day

February 16th is Do a Grouch a Favor Day! Have you done a grouch a favor today? If not then it’s likely that no one told you it was ‘Do a Grouch a Favor Day,’ as doing a grouch a favor is what the day is all about. We all know a grouch at some point in our lives, and it is very likely that we’ve had phases of being grouchy ourselves.Sometimes another person doing us a favor is the last time, but other days a favor from someone (a close friend or a random stranger), is exactly what we need to break us out of our slump.Of course, there may not be any redemption for the grouchy neighbor who hates your dog, and your mailbox, and the way your lawn mower sounds, and the color of your house and…come on, you get the point. Even if you have that person for a neighbor, doing them a well-meaning favor puts good in the world – and besides, maybe they’re grouchy because no one has ever done something nice for them! You could change everything.
