Bonehead Of The Day:

A child pulled the trigger on a police assault rifle at an elementary school in Chino, Calif., firing a bullet and injuring three kids.

A police spokesperson says the AR-15 was on a rack attached to a motorcycle on display during a drug prevention assembly Wednesday.

A child managed to fire the rifle, and the bullet hit a protective metal plate and shattered, making metal debris that hit the children.

Fire officials say two students were treated at hospitals and one was treated at school for cuts and scrapes.

All rifles have now been removed from department motorcycles and the incident is under investigation.

Doing This Simple Thing Every Day Burns As Many Calories As 10 Marathons

If you want to burn calories equivalent to running 10 marathons a year, then stand up!

A study found that standing instead of sitting for an extra three hours a day can add up to burning serious calories over the course of a year: try 30,000! That's about 50 extra calories per hour or what amounts to 8 pounds of fat.

In the study, volunteers stood for at least three hours during weekdays and wore accelerometers, heart rate monitors, and glucose monitors. Researchers took measurements on standing days and compared them with the days when volunteers sat instead.

Not only did the volunteers heart rates stay higher on the days they stood, but their blood glucose levels went back to normal more quickly after eating. When they stood, their heart rates were about 10 extra beats per minute, which translates into a bigger calorie burn.

Finally!  A Push-Up Bra For Men

The Funkybod Muscle Top is a form-fitting shirt with built-in pads to enhance the wearer's biceps, triceps and pectoral muscles.

BONUS:  The shirt's bra-like inserts worked wonders for men with "man boob" problems:

There is a marked improvement in the look if the wearer has the typical visual manboob issues when wearing a shirt. This was not the intended market for the Funkybod muscle top ... After initial trials we found that some of the smaller men had manboob issues which were covered well with the Funkybod muscle top. This led us to experiment with larger men and look into the manboob issue further.

The shirt is available online for £29.99, or $48.43 at current exchange rate.

Video Of The Day:

A California photographer (Royce Hutain) designed an LED Halloween costume for his daughter that creates an animated stick figure effect.

In the video, his daughter walks down a dark hallway giggling. It's only as she gets closer to the camera that it becomes clear that it's child wearing a suit of lights, rather than a strange, animated stick figure.

In a Reddit post discussing the video, dad said he plans to put together a how-to-video for people who want to make their own LED suits and says it should only cost about $50 make one.
