Toaster Ovens Are The New Microwaves

Sales of microwaves nationwide are down for the last decade while toaster oven sales are up 80 percent in that same time.

90 percent of American homes still have a microwave but people are using them less and less.

Just eight years ago microwaves were America’s fourth most essential consumer product, just behind cars, washing machines, and air conditioning.

People are trying to eat healthier now more than ever, and microwaves fit less and less into the equation.

Toaster ovens have done well lately because they take up about the same amount of room as a microwave, but can do almost everything a large oven can do in a fraction of the time and using less energy.

Is The World Ready For A 125 lb Hot Dog?

The world’s largest commercial hot dog was unveiled at the Miami-Dade County Fair in Florida.

It weighed a whopping 125.5 pounds.

The 51-pound frankfurter was cooked for 3 hours, then placed in a huge bun, and covered with pounds of ketchup, mustard, relish, and onions.

The final weight was recorded and sent to Guinness so they can get the official nod.

It was sold for $1 a slice, and the proceeds went to a local charity.

The dog was grilled up by Juicy’s Outlaw Grill, which also has the record for the largest commercial burger.

March Madness:  No Billion Dollar Winner

A few too many upsets has ended any hope that a college hoops fan will be $1 billion richer at the end of the NCAA tournament.

Thanks to upsets of Duke and Ohio State, only three people were still alive in the Warren Buffett challenge heading into the game between George Washington and Memphis. All three picked George Washington, incorrectly.

Still, the top 20 bracket pickers will get $100,000 each when all is said and done.

New Cheech & Chong Movie In The Works

A new Cheech & Chong movie is in the early stages of development.

In a new interview, Tommy Chong says that he and longtime comedy partner Cheech Marin are teaming up with director Jay Chandrasekhar, a member of the Broken Lizard comedy troupe, and director of 2001’s "Super Troopers" and 2006's "Beerfest".

Chong says, "He's working a script right now for us. We've had some preliminary meetings. It looks really good. It looks really funny. It will be about us going to a festival called the Burning Joint. All sorts of shenanigans happen. It's going to be a lot of fun."

In 2013, "Cheech & Chong's Animated Movie" was released, but without the stoner duo's participation. The as-yet-untitled project could start shooting this summer.  It would be the first real Cheech & Chong movie since 1983's "Still Smokin".

"Cheech & Chong's Up in Smoke", released in 1978, was among that year's highest grossing films.

This Fork Adds Flavor To Each Bite

Inventors in Canada have unveiled a bizarre gadget. It’s a fork that emits smells to make people think they are tasting flavors like ginger, coffee or banana as they eat their meal.

The metal Aromafork comes with 21 different flavors, including chocolate, vanilla, lychee, passionfruit, strawberry, basil, cilantro, mint and almond. Eaters can also plump for coconut, peanut, cinnamon, ginger, jalapeno, wasabi, butter, olive oil, smoke or truffle.

It works by having a capsule of 'liquid aroma' underneath the fork's handle and is released gradually as the diner eats their meal.

Men Find Women More Attractive With Less Make Up

A new study has found that men find women more attractive with less makeup on.

According to the study, it isn’t just men that prefer women that wear 40% less makeup than the average woman – women prefer the look, too.

But regardless of these findings and the recent makeup-free trends online, most women continue to wear a heavy application of makeup every day.

Which Professions Have The Most Psycopaths

According to a recent survey, these are the following professions that seem to be full of psychopaths:

  1. CEO
    2. Lawyer
    3. Media (TV/Radio)
    4. Salesperson
    5. Surgeon
    6. Journalist
    7. Police Officer
    8. Clergyperson
    9. Chef
    10. Civil Servant

If you need a break from the psychopaths in your working world (and really, who doesn’t) you can consider a switch to a different career path. Here are the careers with the least number of psychopaths:

1. Care Aide
2. Nurse
3. Therapist
4. Craftsperson
5. Beautician/Stylist
6. Charity Worker
7. Teacher
8. Creative Artist
9. Doctor
10. Accountant

** Keep in mind, just because someone is a psychopath doesn’t mean they’re going to pull a Dexter and start killing people. Those that possess these certain personality traits are self-confient, cold-hearted, egocentric, carefree and have difficulty feeling empathy for others. In many cases it just makes them a more successful, although slightly terrible, professional.

The Chocolate Selfie

A 3D printing company is offering a “chocolate selfie”: a 3D model of our own face made out of chocolate.

You have to provide photos of yourself from multiple angles for them to create your entire 3D figure.

From that they create a plastic mould, pour in the chocolate, wait for it to cool, pop “you” out and put you in a box. Much easier than the way your mother created you.

The company provides the cameras that will take all of your pictures and you can get just one bust of yourself or a dozen – OR a mini statuette of your entire figure, kind of like your personal Oscar.

Latest Wedding Trend..   Donkeys

Donkeys are participating in human wedding these days.

Examples: Donkeys/jackasses dressed in traditional Southwestern garb (or outfitted to match your dress and wedding colors!) who serve beer, wine, soda at your rehearsal dinner or your cocktail hour.

Guests can give these long-eared friends a hug, a treat (donkeys love carrots), or they can simply take a photo to remember the experience forever.

NOTE:  They Don’t Make A Mess. Really

Since the donkeys aren’t around for more than two hours, they rarely create problems, but just in case, they are accessorized with a discreet donkey diaper.
