Bonehead Of The Day

A janitor for an elementary school in Michigan was fired after she paid two fourth graders to beat up another student.

The woman gave the two fourth graders $1 each to beat up a student who made fun of her.

The janitor was fired on Monday after it was reported by another person at the school. The mother of the kid who got beat up said the two fourth graders were bullying her child.

No word if the two kids who accepted the money got in trouble.


Drunk Dial Drink, Get Drunk, then Dial wants people to complain to a Congress member about the government shutdown.

Once people get to the site, they have to type in their phone number. An automated message then says, "is this government making you want to drink? When I drink I like to tell people what's on my mind."

The call is then transferred a random member from the House of Representatives.


Paging Tony Stark..  Iron Man Suit Under Development By US Army

The Army is working on an Iron Man suit. 

Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Army Research, Development and Engineering Command and other groups are joining forces to create a Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit.

(Allegedly).... The suit will include integrated 360-degree cameras, sensors that can detect injuries and apply a wound-sealing foam, and a bulletproof exoskeleton made of fluids that can change from liquid to solid in milliseconds when a magnetic field or electrical current is applied.


Obie Is No Longer The Obese Dachshund.. He's Dropped 50 Pounds

Obie, a dachshund that tipped the scales at 77 pounds has dropped 50, after more than a year of strict dieting, a tummy tuck surgery and lots of long walks.

The pooch, living in Portland, Oregon, is down to a healthy weight of 27lbs.


High School Rule.. You Can't Graduate Unless You Get Accepted To College

The Corbett, OR school district wants to make it a requirement that you get accepted into college in order to graduate from high school.

The principal of the high school says they wouldn't have to actually follow through and attend the college, but he wants it to be part of the requirement.

If the kids can't afford the application fees, the school has grants that can cover the costs.

The new regulations wouldn't start until 2017.

Would You Bring Your Parents To Work?  Linkedin Thinks So

LinkedIn has created a bring your parents to work day. 

The social network for professionals has designated November 7th as Bring In Your Parents Day in which employees are encouraged to invite their mother, father or grandparents into the office.

The company hopes the day will help explain what people do at work better:  Research finds one in three parents don't understand what their children do for a living.
