Wanna Guess How Many People Signed up For Obamacare On Launch Day?.. Six!
According to CBS News, internal government documents showing that only six people signed up on the day that HealthCare.gov launched.
High-ranking members of President Barack Obama's Health and Human Services Department have been closed-lipped about the enrollment figures upon the launch of Obamacare earlier this month, saying that they do not have reliable numbers to give to the public.
But, CBS reported, "The notes leave no doubt that the enrollment figures, which the administration has chosen to keep secret, are available."
According to the report, the numbers were included in notes recorded in meetings at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 1.
"The website launched on Tuesday. Publicly, the government said there were 4.7 million unique visits in the first 24 hours. But at a meeting Wednesday morning, the war room notes say six enrollments have occurred so far. They were with Blue Cross Blue Shield North Carolina and Kansas City, CareSource and Health Care Service Corporation.
"By Wednesday afternoon (Day 2), enrollments were up to approximately 100. By the end of Wednesday (Day 3), the notes reflect 248 enrollments nationwide.
"The health-care exchanges need to average 39,000 enrollees a day to meet the goal of 7 million by March 1."
The FAA Will Now Allow Personal Electronic Devices On Flights From Gate To Gate
The FAA has finally decided that it can no longer keep us from our gadgets.
Airlines are now going to allow your tablets, e-readers and smart phones to be turned on during all phases of your flight - as long as you put them in that ever-handy "airplane mode."
Don't expect Internet connections to now be made available, but you can read your e-book, listen to music and take selfies during take-off and landing and everywhere in between.
Your laptops still won't be able to be used during the entire ride, however. Which might be bad news for workaholics.Texting and making phone calls is still prohibited.
Study: 1 Out Of 4 People Would Buy Pot If it Was Legal
A recent poll shows that just over 25% said that if marijuana was legalized where they lived, they would get in line to buy some for themselves.
A slim 1% of those polled said that they would buy legalized marijuana often - and in the meantime already purchase pot illegally often in their free time. But an extra 3% of people who currently do not get pot illegally said they would start purchasing it often if it became legalized.
Similarly, 18% of those polled said they would but marijuana more often than they do now if it was legalized. That includes 16% who say they don't buy any at all because it's illegal.
Guess How Many Children Have Been Sickend In The Last 50 Years By Halloween Candy.
The fear of poisoning-by-candy comes up every year, but apparently, it may be an urban legend.
A researcher has been studying the idea since 1985 and has 50 years worth of data on Halloween candy deaths and poisonings in the US.
According to his data, there's only one single case of a child being harmed by Halloween candy, and it was the child's own father who poisoned the candy to hurt his child.
But there are no other documented or reported cases of ‘harm by Halloween candy'. Sure it might happen, but if it has, it's never made the papers or news - which is highly unlikely.
Sorry Zombie Believers.. The Walking Dead Can't Walk
Science has officially confirmed that dead people cannot walk.
Here comes the science: As soon as we pass, our bodies kick into autolysis - a process of breaking down. The bacteria and probiotics in our body that are oh-so important while we're living, go to work on decomposing us really fast once we've moved on. It only takes a few days before our bodies wouldn't be able to hold ourselves up.
Plus, there's the whole brain no longer working, thing - which we kind of need to walk around.

Confirmed.. Most Women Do Try To Change Their Man's Appearance
A new study has found that two-thirds of women admit trying to transform their boyfriend's appearance, spending hundreds of dollars on clothes and spending more than six months grooming him – often to make him look more like their favorite celebrity.
Some of the women who were surveyed admitted that they were embarrassed and ashamed to be seen with their boyfriend when they first began dating.
About 68 percent admit they ‘improved' their partner's appearance, with 48 per cent buying his clothes and picking out about 21 items a year.
