Listen To Sia's New Song 'Rainbow' For The 'My Little Pony' Soundtrack

Ahead of her upcoming Christmas album, Sia has contributed a song for the My Little Pony: The Movie soundtrack and it's appropriately titled "Rainbow."

"Rainbow" dropped on Friday (September 15) and hears the singer/songwriter in her usual light, offering listeners with an uplifting message. It's kid-friendly, but also feels fitting for the older crowd, too. "I can see a rainbow in your tears as the sun comes out," she repeats during the chorus atop bouncy pop production.

If you take a look at the single artwork, you'll notice the Sia-inspired character Songbird Serenade. Earlier this year, it was reported that the pop star has a role in the film. Among the other acts set to feature on the My Little Pony: The Movie soundtrack DNCE and Lukas Graham

Sia's new track follows her lengthy list of contributions to movie soundtracks in recent years. Not only did she team up with Queen Latifah and Miguel for "Satisfied" off the Hamilton mixtape, but she also reunited with frequent collaborator Greg Kurstin on "Never Give Up" for the film, Lion, and penned "Angel By The Wings" for the documentary film The Eagle Huntress. You also might remember that the pop staple contributed a ballad called "Helium" for the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack.

My Little Pony: The Movie hits theaters on October 6.
